Cellulite Factor DISCOUNT Price: $37. Get It Now! This article is about the dimpled appearance of skin. For the infection of skin and its underlying connective tissue, see cellulitis. Not to be confused with Celluloid.

Cellulite

The dimpled appearance of cellulite

Cellulite (also known as adiposis edematosa, dermopanniculosis deformans, status protrusus cutis, gynoid lipodystrophy, orange peel syndrome and cottage cheese skin) is the herniation of subcutaneous fat within fibrous connective tissue that manifests topographically as skin dimpling and nodularity, often on the pelvic region, lower limbs, and abdomen.[1][2] Cellulite occurs in most postpubertal females and rarely in males.[3]
* 3 Causes
* 4 Treatment
* 5 References
* 6 External links

History

The term was first used in the 1920s, and began appearing in English language publications in the late 1960s, with the earliest reference in Vogue magazine, “Like a swift migrating fish, the word cellulite has suddenly crossed the Atlantic.”[4] Its existence as a real disorder has been questioned,[5] and the prevailing medical opinion is that it is merely the “normal condition of many women”.[6] One cosmetic company has noted its historical place in industrialised societies as an “inappropriate term used by women to describe curves which they judge to be too plump and not very aesthetic”.[7]

Epidemiology

Cellulite is thought to occur in 80-90% of postpubertal females.[8][9] There appears to be a hormonal component to its presentation. It is rarely seen in males,[1] but is more common in males with androgen-deficient states, such as Klinefelter’s syndrome, hypogonadism, postcastration states and in those patients receiving estrogen therapy for prostate cancer. The cellulite becomes more severe as the androgen deficiency worsens in these males.[citation needed]

Causes

The causes of cellulite [10] include changes in metabolism, physiology, dieting too hard or too much, sex-specific dimorphic skin architecture, alteration of connective tissue structure, hormonal factors, genetic factors, the microcirculatory system, the extracellular matrix, and subtle inflammatory alterations.[3][1][10][11]

Hormonal factors

Hormones play a dominant role in the formation of cellulite. Estrogen may be the important hormone to initiate and aggravate cellulite. However, there has been no reliable clinical evidence to support such a claim. Other hormones, including insulin, the catecholamines adrenaline and noradrenaline, thyroid hormones, and prolactin, are all believed to participate in the development of cellulite.[1]

Genetic factors

There is a genetic element in individual susceptibility to cellulite.[1] Researchers led by Enzo Emanuele have traced the genetic component of cellulite to particular polymorphisms in the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) and hypoxia-inducible factor 1A (HIF1a) genes.[8]

Predisposing factors

Several factors have been shown to affect the development of cellulite. Sex, race, biotype,[12] distribution of subcutaneous fat, and predisposition to lymphatic and circulatory insufficiency have all been shown to contribute to cellulite.[1]

Lifestyle

A high-stress lifestyle will cause an increase in the level of catecholamines, which have also been associated with the evolution of cellulite.[1] Certain dieting practices can also diminish the level of these chemicals, and decreasing body fat typically results in the appearance of cellulite.
Formation of Cellulite.jpg

Treatment

Numerous therapies for the treatment of cellulite are available, but empirical evidence for the efficacy of these strategies is limited[3]. In an interview with the New York Times, Molly Wanner, an instructor in dermatology at Harvard Medical School and an author of a 2008 evidence-based review of existing treatments, asserted: “At this point, there is no outstanding treatment for cellulite.”[13] Michael F. McGuire, a clinical associate professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, confirmed that “realistically, there is no cure for cellulite.”

The greatest enemy of your sweet sleep stays right there with you to attack in the darkness of night. Yes! The bedbug that concentrate in the corners of bed and attack after you fall asleep. Their presence is not attached to old, damp houses and rusty beds, even beds in luxury hotels can have these insects that feed on human blood. Bedbugs usually come out of their habitats at night and lay eggs in clothes and old furniture. Before sleeping on hotel beds you must ensure that you are not sleeping with these little vampires that can actually invade your home beds once they make you their prey.

You can recognize the effects of bedbug bites by some clear indications:

You will feel a kind of skin allergy that might not be visible at first but would cause itching followed by possible blisters. Contrary to the mosquito bite, which feels like immediate needle-like pinch, the bedbug cimicosis (bites) cause itching after some time. The reason is the sedative present in the saliva of the bedbug that avoids abrupt pain. The rash caused by the cimicosis can be identified by the small or raised bumps that have the redness with a swollen effect. The itching produced in the affected area is prolonged and more severe than that of a mosquito bite. Sometimes bedbugs bite in a row and rigorous scratch on bites might cause the bumps to become infected. Bedbug bites take longer than other rashes to cure and the bloat may be prominent for a couple of weeks.

Because of some glands that bedbugs emit during night, you can feel a strange odor in the bedbugs inhabited beds. Sometimes you may also notice small blots on the bed sheets. Furniture items that have been plagued by bedbugs have a sweet smell that indicate the influx of these tiny insects. At places where bedbugs are presence is minimal, you might not be able to smell that specific aroma.

To make sure that your home beds are kept safe from a bedbug influx, you must be cautious about your luggage that you will bring back home after your hotel stay. You can possibly be shifting these draculas to your home with your clothes or other items. The risk of attracting a bedbug is increased with secondhand wooden items and used clothes. Before packing your things, you must check each item separately for any attached bedbug as they can crawl to your luggage. You can use a good quality insect killer to get rid of bedbugs. Or put all your clothes and items on a moist marble floor or bath tub that will cause these bugs to scatter away.

Go for a laundry service and have your clothes washed so that any attached bedbugs (and eggs) gets removed. For any wooden item, place it in sharp sunlight for sometime, the heat will kill the insects. During your stay at hotels, you must ensure that you don’t take these predators back to your home, which will infect your beds, furniture and clothes and can cause serious skin diseases.

Everyone wants to get rid of unwelcomed most annoying tiny creature called Bed Bugs. Bed bugs are so small in size that cannot be seen through bare eyes. You need magnifying glass to have a closer look of them. They are wingless creatures that used to crawl. Bed bugs live in dark tiny holes, cracks and crevices in your home.

Bed bugs are predators and their only food is blood that they suck from their hosts’ body. Their hosts can be humans, animals, or any warm blooded creature. A warm place provides them most favorable conditions for distribution.

Medical science declared that bed bugs are harmless and do not cause any deadly disease. Their bites results in annoyance and soreness only. Their bites can cause mild skin hazards as you will feel itching and swelling at infected part of skin. It is advised that do not scratch the wound to avoid any infection and scar at your skin.

Nowadays it is not difficult to get rid of bed bugs. The preeminent way to control bed bugs is to consult Pest Control Companies that will give you proper remedy to check out these most irritating creatures. These companies not only prevent you from bed bugs but also kill many other insects and pests.
Pest control specialists have equipments that will surprise you to how they terminate bed bugs so easily.

Specialists use pesticides and insecticides to kill bed bugs and their eggs efficiently without the danger of reproduction of bed bugs.

It is advised not to handle pesticides and insecticides yourself because they contain very dangerous chemicals that can be hazardous for human health. Let the pest control professionals to deal with it because they know all the precautionary measures.

Specialists also update you regarding handling of furniture afterwards. Listen their instructions seriously and carefully to avoid any future risk.
When professionals are not available, do not disappoint. Keep in mind that pesticides and insecticides contain harmful chemicals that are less resistant for bed bugs and eventually kill them, but unfortunately human beings do not have tough and resilient outer cover like bed bugs.

Gather the knowledge about getting rid of bed bugs and the necessary precautionary measures to be taken. When you will have all the information about harmful effects of pesticides and insecticides you will be able to handle each part with more care that will ultimately minimize the risk.

There are also many non- toxic home remedies. One way to get rid of bed bugs is steaming. Bed bugs do not exist at the temperature of 45 degree Celsius.
Another most cheapest and effective way is cold treatment. In this method cryonite is used. Cryonite produces carbon dioxide snow that freezes bed bugs from inside and makes them inactive. Cold treatment is more beneficial then pesticides and insecticides. There is no need to evacuate the place where cold treatment has been turned on.

So, consult professionals and take all essential steps to get rid of bed bugs, and have peaceful and healthy life.

Tiny reddish-brown parasites called Cimex lectularius , usually known as bedbugs, feed on blood of animals and humans. In 40’s and 50’s, pesticides were used frequently that caused the eradication of these bugs from America. But later invention of more focused pesticides (to kill only one type of insects) proved to be ineffective for bedbugs. Moreover the emigrants from other continents became the reason of revival of these parasites. Americans travelling abroad to such bedbugs inhabited areas brought these back to US.

Bedbugs are expert hitchhikers and can travel back to your home with your luggage and clothes. You must be aware of these uninvited guests as they can cause skin infections. The family of these bugs is called Cimicidae and consists of nocturnal insects that suck blood during the3 night. Long since the evolution of human beings, these bugs have caused problems for animals and humans living in dark caves.

At moderate temperature, these bugs reproduce at high rates. The type of bugs that specifically feed on chicken, bats and birds is called Cimex hemipterus and is usually found in warmer regions. A special kind of bedbug is found in South America that sucks blood of humans and bats. While another fellow specie only prefers to live on bats’ blood and is called Cimex pilosellus. Chicken and poultry are targeted by Haematosiphon inodora which are usually found in North American region.

Bedbugs have flat and apparently oval bodies and can’t fly. Grown bugs can be seen easily as they are usually 5mm long and can crawl from one place to another swiftly. You might not spot any bedbug in your house but you can never be so sure that you don’t have them at your place. Being nocturnal insects, they only come out of their hidings in the middle of the night and immediately get back if they sense any movement. Newborns are hard to be seen and appear white or cream colored and keep on changing color after they start feeding on blood.

Bedbugs are tough creatures and can survive as long as up to one year without sucking blood. Yet they feed after 6-10 days and attack on host during night, preferably just before dawn.

Unlike the mosquito sting, which gives an instant itching and piercing effect, bedbug bites can’t be felt immediately because of a sedative present in the saliva of the bedbug that keeps the blood from clotting and immunes the body for some time. The process of sucking blood of a host lasts for 4-5 minutes.
The only good thing about these bugs is that they don’t carry germs or bacteria that may cause harmful diseases to human body. So these are not as dangerous as other blood-sucking insects like dengue mosquitoes.

Bedbug Bite causes a bump that produces itching and can get infected by thorough scratching and rubbing. Wash the infected area with an antibacterial liquid and apply calamine lotion afterward. Keep your house clean and spray an effective pest control formula to eradicate these bugs completely.

The moment you climb into your bed and try to drift away in your dreams, your roommates awake and get ready to have their breakfast on your blood. These unseen roommates are called bedbugs that become active once they sense any warm blooded being nearby.

Cimex lectularius, scientific name for these bugs, are brownish, oval and flat parasites that have microscopic hair and tubes to suck blood from the human body. Due to the widespread use of pesticides in 70s and 80s, these bugs were wiped out of America. But constant visits of foreigners from other continents caused these bedbugs to grow again. Any warm blooded animal living near their habitat can become their prey.

Although these insects can’t fly yet they can spread easily from their habitats to pets and from animals to humans. These bugs are too small to be spotted yet the adults are 4-5 mm long and can be seen when they crawl out of their hidings.

Shortly after their birth, these bugs appear to be white or orange but after sucking blood, they get dark brown or black because of the internal food storage. They can survive for almost a year without food yet the newborns can live only for few months. Although they only live on blood of animals and humans, yet an old dilapidated bed or abandoned furniture item would still have bugs inside them because during whole lifetime bedbugs only need to suck blood 3-4 times to stay alive.

Being nocturnal insects, these bugs hide in dark places, peeled paint, in antiques, under mattress or in bed cracks and only come out during night to attack. They insert two tubes in the body of host: one through which it injects a sedative that immunes the body against any stinging effect and can safely suck blood. Itching starts only after a day or two and a reddish bump appears at the affected spot.

Keep your house clean, wash linens regularly, spray your mattresses and bed frames with effective bedbug control formulas.

Bites caused by a bedbug stay longer than that formed by a mosquito bite. Rubbing the skin harshly may make the swollen area infected. To some extent you can control these bugs with ordinary pesticides but to eradicate these parasites, you must call a professional pest control company that can find and spray on all possible habitats of these bugs. Besides, the aftereffects of these pesticides can harm your health so it’s better not to try these on your own.

Before moving in any hotel room or renting an apartment, make sure that you don’t live with these parasites and have the landlord or hotel managers call a pest control company if you see any sign of these bedbugs.

Bed bugs had become serious issue during medieval and Aristotle times and their number grow so rapidly that 60 out of 100 homes have bed bugs. These tiny creatures often move and attack when its host is sleeping.

Bed bugs are scientifically called “Cimex lectularius”, Bed bugs are about 4 mm in length that cannot be seen with bare eye. They are brownish in color. They have very thin body that can squeeze and fit to any crevice and cracks in home. They do not have wings and used to crawl. Bed bugs are reported as fast moving insect.

It is commonly said that bed bugs originated from Asia and spread all over the world. Bed bugs are usually live and breed on warm and dry climate. But they are also present in northern regions of the world because of abundance of building there as the proliferation of buildings generates heat.
The size and color of bed bugs changes during nymph to young stages. The adult bed bugs are 1/4 to 3/8 cm in length. Size increases significantly after sucking its host’s blood and also nymph became adult in a month, depending upon availability of favorable conditions. After molting stage nymph and adult bed bugs change to yellow color.

Bed bugs do not cause any fatal disease. They only come out when they are hungry. The warmth of their host also encourages them to come out and have a meal.

Moreover, they also suck blood with the help of their very good developed mouth parts. They suck blood for one to seven minutes leaving itching and swelling at that place. There appear large wheal at affected part which ultimately converted in to red spot that will end in three to four days.

An adult has an ability to absorb blood seven times more than its body weight. It is interesting that bed bugs go back to their hiding place to lay eggs as soon as they finished eating.

If you think the bedbug is a phenomenon that is long gone, you need to think again. Even high class hotel beds can be infested with the brownish, oval, wingless bedbugs. Your own bed can have many bugs hidden inside it, either around the bed frame or in the cracks. These are little parasites that suck blood of warm blooded animals including humans and usually hunt for blood during night. From the history of bedbugs we can see that they first used to feed on birds like bats only but gradually they learned to respond to environment changes and started sucking human blood too. Bedbugs are found mostly in hotter regions like Florida and North America.

Although blood suction might sound horrible to you, but these parasites do not carry germs of contagious diseases like HIV and Hepatitis. Where mosquito bites can even cause death of a person by dengue germs, cimicosis (bedbug bites) can only cause itching and swelling of skin.

Bedbugs have two tiny tubes one of which contains a sedative due to which a person doesn’t feel an itching or piercing effect during cimicosis. Through the other tube, the bedbug sucks blood from the body of the host. The skin swells after some time and causes itching and burning effect and appears to be reddish. The itching caused by a bedbug bite sustains longer and is harsher than a mosquito bite. You can identify a cimicosis by this sign. If you rub the skin harder it will get infected making it even worse. Some bumps heal naturally if you just leave them for some time.

Wash the affected area with an antibacterial soap and apply cream suggested by your dermatologist. But this is a temporary remedy. You have to make sure that you wipe out these bugs from your bed, furniture and even from your home. Cleanliness can really prove to be effective and give special attention on the hygiene of hidden places like under bed frame, in cracks and holes and below mattress. Get rid of stacks of old papers, abandoned clothes and other waste items. If you’re staying in a hotel, make sure that you are not sleeping with these parasites. They are expert hitchhikers and can travel back with your luggage and clothes and can reside in your home bed and furniture, becoming your constant torment. A place with an influx of these bugs would have a strange sweet aroma produced by the secretions of bedbug glands.

One precautionary measure would be to apply insect-repellent formula on your skin that will keep these bugs from biting you at night. But proper inspection and preventive measures must be adopted as these bugs reproduce at high rates and can make your bed their permanent habitat. The females usually lay their eggs in small cracks and wooden crevices. Bugs hide in small dark places and can live there for almost a year without food. So stay safe and take services of a pest control company that can spray your house with an effective bug-control formula, which will eradicate this problem for longer period.
